Indulge in Halal Chinese Hotpot & BBQ at Jing Singapore (Kinex Mall)
Jing Singapore has just relaunched at Kinex Mall (previously located at EastPoint Mall in Simei), and it’s the place to be if you’re craving a halal hotpot and BBQ experience with a delicious blend of Sichuan flavors and Southeast Asian influences.

At Jing, you get to choose from a variety of rich broths, marinated meats, fresh seafood, and a DIY sauce station that makes the whole experience even more fun.
Some of my favourite meat marinades:
- Tomyum Chicken
- Lemon Chicken
- Black Pepper Beef
- Satay Mutton
And if you’re not into marinades, the non-marinated options are just as good. I personally love the thinly sliced shabu-shabu beef and the beef strips with thicker cuts. Seriously, just thinking about it is making me drool!
Soup Options:
If you like it spicy, try the Mala (medium, hot, or extra hot) or the Tom Yum (medium or hot). For those who prefer something milder, they’ve got options like:
- Tomato
- Herbal Chicken
- Mushroom
What’s special about Jing is that you get your own individual mini hotpot, so no need to share! You can personalize it however you like. And you have to try their house-made minced chicken and shrimp paste – it was amazing! We couldn’t stop going back for more.
For dessert, you can try a few ice cream flavours like Tutti Frutti (my favourite!), salted caramel, and Thai milk tea. If you want something more traditional, they also have the classic potong ice cream to cleanse your palate at the end.
I’ve been to their EastPoint outlet before, but honestly, this new location is so much better! The warm, moody-toned interior makes the space feel cozy, and the menu seems to suit the Singaporean tastebuds even more. The service could be a little quicker, but it didn’t stop us from having an enjoyable and comfortable dining experience. Definitely recommend checking it out!
