Chiko Pollo by Lola Faye

Located at 28 Madras Street, just below The Great Madras Hotel, Chiko Pollo has been on my radar for a while. I’ve visited before, and while the food was decent, I hadn’t been blown away—until this recent visit! This time around, the dishes we tried were absolutely superb.

Here’s what we indulged in:

Mains

  • Truffle Mushroom Ribeye Steak Pasta ($28)
  • Pulled Beef Flatbread ($22)
  • XL Sotong Rice Bowl ($24)
  • Cheese Banjir Double Bacon Burger ($22)

Sides

  • Chiko Pollo Original ($12)
  • Calamari Frittes ($14)

Drinks

  • Watermelon Milk Tower Drink ($25)

Standout Dishes

  • Truffle Mushroom Ribeye Steak Pasta – A creamy, indulgent truffle sauce that paired perfectly with a juicy ribeye steak. This was a winner.
  • Pulled Beef Flatbread – Melty cheese + tender pulled beef = comfort food bliss.
  • XL Sotong Rice Bowl – This wok-fried rice, with its fluffy texture (likely Japanese rice?), brought back memories of nasi goreng kampung—but with a crispy, fried sotong topping that took it to the next level.
  • Chiko Pollo Original – Fries and crispy popcorn chicken drenched in their signature sambal sauce. So addictive!

The Watermelon Milk Tower was a refreshing treat—a light, almost dessert-like drink that helped clear the palate after all the savory indulgence.

The atmosphere at night is just as inviting, with neon lights adding a playful touch to the chill vibe, making it the perfect spot for a laid-back dinner with friends.

If you’re looking for a spot that surprises with both its flavor and vibe, I highly recommend giving Chiko Pollo a try. Visit their IG at @Chiko Pollo for more information!
